1.) In this online community RESPECT is the biggest thing that we want to see. There are going to no doubt be people on here who get on your nerves, or who you don't agree with. If that happens, all we ask is that you pray before replying, or simply walk away from the post and let a mod know so that they can take care of it. We know that not everyone here is going to get along, but that doesn't mean that we have to let our anger lead to sin and disrespect. It's okay to argue (and I use that term loosely) a point as long as it's in a civil manner. It's also okay to disagree. It's NOT okay to call people names, attack them for anything they post, or get rude about anything that is said here.
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. - Romans 12:9-18
2. Make your best effort to contribute to the forum instead of spamming it up. You can have fun, get crazy, and post whatever you want (well, almost), but we don't need to see your screen name on every post in one forum unless you really are trying to contribute to the topic. When it's just a "cool" or "huh?" or any other obvious attempt to be a spammer, that's just not cool.
3.) Keep your language and topics out of the gutter. ANY post that contains profanity will be edited and you will receive a warning. The second time it happens will result in you being banned. There is no reason to use any type of foul language in a forum called "Jesus Freaks". The word "heck" is not filtered, but will be considered cussing when it is not used properly. "I don't want to go to heck." is okay. Telling someone to go there, or asking, "What the ...." is not.
Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. - Ephesians 4:29
4.) This place will not be used as a platform for anyone to try to lure people away with any sort of false teachings. Anyone who joins can read the statement of faith that we are going to adhere to as far as doctrinal issues are concerned. This doesn't mean that you are not welcome here or can't fellowship with everyone else. We believe that fellowship should not be broken because of any difference in beliefs as long as it is not a salvation issue (for example - saying Christ didn't die for our sins). This also doesn't mean you can't voice your beliefs or tell everyone where you stand on any topic that comes up here. Everyone is invited to be a part of this place, and everyone is welcome to post their views (read Romans 14 for better understanding of this). However, persistent attempts to lure people away with false doctrines will result in that person being banned from the board. By "luring away" I mean saying things like, "This place isn't teaching truth, go to http://www.heresies-r-us.com to learn about the REAL truth."
5.) Along those same lines, this board allows avatars. Although the size limit on avatars is set for the whole board, the content of the avatar is not. Please only use 'G' Rated pics in your avatar. If an avatar is determined to be inappropriate, it will be deleted and you will receive a warning. If another inappropriate avatar is used, the result will be your being banned from the board.
All in all, we want you to have fun here. We want you to encourage and be encouraged. We want you to pray and be prayed for. We want you to learn and be taught. Remember, this is a Christian online community, there will be people of every step of their Christian walk. | Well, I was more talking about the whole use of the Stigmata thing since I know what it means and I know what the movie is about. I notice that you still have a demonic looking girl in what looks to me to be a "crucifix" position as your avatar. I don't know. There's just something about that that rubs me the wrong way. Actually, there's just something about the whole stigmata idea that rubs me the wrong way. Sorry if I am being a pain about this. There are just a lot of younger people on here that I would rather not have exposed to those sorts of images. That's all...

They are back for now. I got rid of them this morning, because it seemed like people were starting to put things in their signature that were pretty objectionable. I feel like this place needs to be held above what other Christian message boards are allowing these days. Just as Paul always called for people to grow in their walk, I am calling the members of this board to be a little more spiritually minded when they are thinking about what to put in their signature. This doesn't mean that every signature needs to be a bible verse or it isn't acceptable. It just means that it should be something that you would be willing to say, "Hey God, check out my signature." and God would say, "Cool!"
PS - After turning them back on, I noticed that yours didn't come back. I don't know why that is. I just wanted you to know that I had nothing to do with it disappearing.

i think you are right scott, infact i told someone that the other day, they mentioned about bringing ppl here from another site and i told him to bring ppl who would respect this place, one thing that i love here is that its not like alot of the others, its focused on God and i have found that here and Jeremy Camps are the two that i see that on. i have alot of respect for this place and i hope that everyone that comes aboard will share that respect.
